In Aveflor we were happy to support the local community! 💙 We were part of the Philanthropy Exchange in the Hradec Králové Region, where we provided financial support to several amazing organizations that do truly deserving work. Our support went to: APROPO Jičín, Černí koně, Centrum Orion, Care for Mental Health, Pferda, Jump to Life and Spirit. We are delighted to be able to contribute to a better life for those who need it most. Thank you to these organizations for their tireless work and dedication! 👏
Aveflor is pleased to announce that we have added three Volvo EX30 electric cars to our fleet. We have replaced the outdated diesel cars. This move is part of our efforts to promote greener and more sustainable technologies. Also, given that we generate more than 30% of our electricity consumption at our own photovoltaic power plant. This also makes the purchase of electric cars more sensible. By investing in green energy and electric cars, we are actively contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. We believe that sustainable transport is also an important factor in protecting the environment and improving the quality of life for all of us. Thank you for supporting us on this journey.
At the same time as acquiring the new cars, we have also purchased three new charging stations where up to 6 electric cars can be charged at the same time.
Our company has joined the Green Company project and allows its employees to hand in their end-of-life electrical equipment, batteries and accumulators free of charge. At the same time, we encourage them to behave in an environmentally friendly way without having to travel to a special collection point and to recycle the waste into reusable material.
Employees can simply deposit their end-of-life household electrical appliances and batteries in the collection box located in the company's main building. The project also allows our company to collect and subsequently recycle large electrical waste free of charge.
The aim of the Green Company project is to protect the environment by ensuring the take-back and efficient recycling of unwanted electrical equipment. These contain many hazardous substances such as mercury, lead, cadmium and brominated flame retardants, but also a large amount of recyclable and reusable materials.
The initiator of the project is REMA System, a company that organises the collection, sorting and recycling of end-of-life electrical equipment throughout the Czech Republic.
The 17th year of the regional round of the competition Looking for the Best Young Chemist of the Czech Republic, organized by the Secondary School of Chemistry in Pardubice (SPŠCH), has its winners. Primary schools from the Pardubice Region took first place in all competition categories. The chemistry competition was dominated by the Pardubice-Polabiny 3 Primary School, which managed to win not only the individual and teacher competition, but also the title of the most successful school.
We are glad that we could support this activity for young and aspiring chemists. You can read the full press release from the event here (only in Czech language).
